Brann Cemetery
From highway 258 between Farmville and Snow Hill turn onto Tyson's Chapel Church Road-the road only turns one way. Go to the end and turn right onto Friendship Church Road. Go 2 miles and turn left onto Knox School Road. Go approximately 9/10 mile to Strickland Farm. On the right side of the road there are some doublewides and an old brick house that sit off the road a little. The cemetery is located behind these in a field at the edge of the woods.

The cemetery is behind the house that is behind the larger house. This land was formerly owned by the Edmundson families. According to the current owner, at one time, there was a large grist mill operation with large stables on this land.

Ruff Cemetery
From Saratoga go toward Farmville on the old hightway. It was Hwy. 264, but I believe it is Hwy. 90 now. Just inside the Greene Co. line, on the left, there is a field with a clump of trees in the middle. The cemetery is located in this group of trees. There are only six graves, the latest one dated 1900.

Cemetery is located in a thick grove of trees behind a mobile home. We could only find two stones, and only one of those that we could read. We had to go through a lot of briars to find these stones.

This dirt farm road turns right along the forest line. The fairly large, old cemetery is located inside the woods about 50 yards on the right…in the woods.
